Post number one: Action News takes new approach

While it was a very bold move with the ratings and reputation on the line, turning away from violent crime stories was a very admirable and interesting decision. Regardless if it brought up their popularity, straying from what the other networks were doing was a considerate move, for once taking advice from the audience and letting, "the people pick the news." I'm not sure how it ended for the station but the fact that they tried raises my respect for local news members in that area.
